The latest Nacra 500 MK² models are completely redesigned from the ground up, while still keeping the spirit of the first legendary model alive. We’ve taken the 1998 original and improved it where we could.

Low drag hull design
Crafted from sustainable materials, the new hull design features a wave-piercer bow and enhanced skeg surface, making the 500 MK² faster than typical beach cats while maintaining excellent stability, perfect for both experienced sailors and beginners.

Kick-up rudder system
The 500 MK²’s kick-up rudder system is designed to flip up easily, keeping the skeg configuration intact and eliminating the need for daggerboards. This feature allows you to sail straight onto the shore without hassle.

Large new Progrip
The 500 MK² features large Progrip deck pads that enhance safety and add to superior comfort while sailing.

Redesigned rigging
The two-person trapeze system and optimized rigging of the 500 MK² make it easy to set up and fun to sail, enhancing performance and usability. The divisible bowsprit makes transport and setup easier than ever.

Sails
Crafted by Performance Sails, the new sail plan of the 500 MK² features an optimized mainsail with improved power distribution and an unique batten tension system. Additionally, the sail plan is available with a furling jib and/or spinnaker option.
