While maintaining the overall specifications, the F18 EVO introduces completely redesigned hulls and represents an evolution from over 50 years of experience in several key areas compared to its predecessors.

Evolutionary hull
The Nacra F18 Evolution has a smooth, streamlined hull with a bow that cuts through the waves and a flat edge at the back. Equipped with carbon fibre rudders and daggerboards, this design helps improve performance when sailing both upwind and downwind at various speeds.

Streamlined deck
The optimized foredeck in front of the main beam, along with the beams built into the hull, adds elegance to the design. Moreover, this setup improves the boat's balance, reducing drag and making the boat faster.

Sails
Crafted by Performance Sails, the deck sweeper mainsail and tailored jib use regatta-proven Pentex™ cloth for superior durability and performance. A strong polyester spinnaker, in three colours and two strengths, completes this race-ready setup.

The International Formula 18 Class Association was founded in 1994 by Pierre-Charles Barraud and Olivier Bovyn. Through competition among manufacturers, the F18 class keeps costs down, making it accessible to sailors of all backgrounds. This includes mixed and female crews, who can compete equally in predominantly male fleets. The Formula 18 class keeps growing and evolving, offering exciting, safe, and inclusive racing for everyone.
