The Nacra 50 Year Anniversary Championships have come to an end after an unforgettable week at Aval Sailing in Gravedona on the beautiful Lake Como. On August 3rd, the event kicked off with a practice race and a festive opening ceremony.

48 teams from 12 countries gathered, bringing together 28 Nacra 15s, 12 F18s, and 8 F20s. From the first race to the last, the fleet sailed in changing conditions — starting with light breezes under cloudy skies and gradually enjoying sunnier skies with stronger winds.

While the racing was exciting, the week was about more than competition. The atmosphere was warm and relaxed and for many sailors and their families, the event was a highlight of their holiday. Evenings were spent enjoying pasta snacks, a sailors’ dinner, live music, and a Nacra Happy Hour, giving everyone the chance to relax, connect and enjoy the week together.
